The bass and blues are here in force. Jigging has been very good, mostly 50-60' with AVA's. The blues are 5-12lbs and the bass are up to 34" with some larger ones being caught in the 20-30lb range. There are also plenty of tog around, not to many large fish, but that may be from the abundance of smaller fish. Things are looking good for this fall season, we have dates open for your group till the end of the year so give us a call.

Capt Ted White
Super Chic Charters
609-296-4480
fishing report

Sorry haven't posted in a while. The bluefishing has slowed quite a bit, we do catch some small guys at night. There are some bonito showing up and trolling them is a possibility. The flukin' is so so, usually lots of shorts, few keepers. The tuna fishing both inshore and offshore has been good most of the time, the bluefin are spread out up and down the line pretty good. The canyon action has been pretty consistent with some larger YFT showing up and with the water that is coming in I'd say you'll see more bigeye as well.
We have dates during the week and some weekends available for any type of fishing. There are still some weekend dates in Oct. for those looking to go offshore or wreck fishing.

The past 3 days we were flukin' and only managed a handful of keeperseach trip, there was a pretty big swell that seems to be dying out so lets hope that will get them biting soon.

Going offshore sat nite, hope to have a good report sun nite.

Capt Ted White
The action for blues day or night is about as good as you could want it. Lots of fish, 7-12lbs. mostly on bait but jigs are working well for those who chose to use them. The fluke fishing has taken an upswing with some very nice fish coming in.
Things offshore are improving rapidly, the water temps are great for sharking and the tuna are starting to show up in the canyons. We have good dates available for any type of fishing so if you're thinking of doing a trip for you're favorite species, call now. Our first offshore trip is in early July but we do have some dates before that.

Capt. Ted White
609-296-4480
fishing report

We have been wreck fishing and chumming blues recently with good results on both. The seabass have shown a more consistent bite the past week, fishing between 65-80' depths. Our largest one Sunday was just under 5lbs.!
The bluefishing has also started off strong with fish averaging 7-10lbs. The fish are hitting jigs and bait, but the jigs produce far less doggies.
Currently booking all types of charters for this season; day/night blues, spring/fall stripers, tuna-day troll and overnighters, as well as the fall variety of trips thru December. The bass fishing is very good now, we are offering a 6-7 hour trip for up to 6 people, mostly snagging bait and livelining with some jigging possible. This trip is 700. and we will leave the dock at 5-515 am to get on the bunker, if you'd like a shot at some really nice bass give us a call or e-mail.

Capt Ted White, Super Chic
609-296-4480

We have had a great start to the fall fishing, both on the wrecks and jigging for bass and blues. The seabass fishing has been good with a good showing of some large porgies as well. The blackfish season should start off well also, some nice fish are there now. The jigging along the beach for bass and blues is going very good, all the blues you want and an average of 6-8 keeper bass to go with a few dozen shorts. We have some weekend dates open at the end of the month as well as in Dec. and will be fishing thru Christmas for bass and blackfish.

Capt.
Well our offsshore trip wasn't a total flop, managed 4 small yellows on the chunk. Lots of current most of the night and lots of squid to catch and eat the baits/chunks. Next trip isn't for 2 weeks then it's 3 in a row.

Don't forget, blackfish opens up to 6 per man Nov 17, book soon for good dates.

Capt Ted White
SUPER CHIC
Sorry for the long gap between reports.

The bluefishing has finally got itself back to it's old self, good! The last 10 days or so have been very good with 8-12 lb fish. False albacore and bonito are cooperating as well. Along the beach we are catching croakers and small weaks, most of the weaks go back but the croakers are nice ones.

The offshore fishing has been poor, hope things start soon or it may not be worth the wait. Will report on our trip Friday after they return.

Capt. Ted White
SUPER CHIC
The last few days we have seen an improvement in the fluke fishing, still alot of shorts, but we've seen more keepers. The bluefishing continues to be a bit frustrating, there has been no real pattern to them, we fish different spots each day. We had our first overnighter last Fri/Sat. Managed 6 small YFT on the chunk at night, 2 nice YFT and a white trolling. all the squid we wanted for bait, had to use them, they ate everything else. Anchored in 475 for the night, trolled the others in 50-55 fa..
We have a couple Sat.'s open, Aug 16,23 due to cancellations. Could do overnight, day troll or inshore trip on either day.

Capt. Ted White
SUPER CHIC
609-296-4480

on the 21st of July had a group from the Howell Elks on board the Cindy Lou out of Sails Aweigh in Brick -- they fished in the Pt.Pleasant Elks fluke tournament -- they caught a boat load of keepers up to 24inches -- also sea bass -- ling -- bluefish -- and sea robins -- a great day

fishing report

We got back in the water late Friday, got her cleaned up and are ready to go. The bluefishing was good, very steady pick, not too many dogs. Jigs and bait worked equally well. The fish were of a mixed size, 3-9 lbs.. Ray Albright's roofers had a good time Sat., great weather and good fishing. Sunday we hit the wrecks with the Chris Eastburn group. The weather was actually too nice, anchoring was tough, but we did put together a good catch of sea bass and a few ling. The keeper ratio was about 1-1 most of the time. Pool fish was 4lbs. This good sea bass fishing should hold up for a couple more weeks, dates are available so don't hesitate.

Capt. Ted White
SUPER CHIC
fishing report

The first trip of '08 started off pretty slow but ended rather well. Went off to 75' hoping to find a few sea bass but didn't, a few as well as a few tog. Moved in a little with pretty much the same fishing so went in a little more and got the bites we needed. Steady pick on the tog with the ratio about 50/50. Three out of the eight had limits and the others 2 and 3 per man.
4-26-08
